Weekend wine review: Hoooray for Charles Melton

As the temperatures gradually begin to cool here in the UK, it’s time to find a wine that hones in the last drops of summer, yet welcomes Autumn with a great big hug. Tonight I have chosen a wine that encapsulates the long summer evenings we’ve just had, and Autumnal fruits in one.

Charles Melton: Rose of Virginia

The wine hails from the Barossa valley in Australia new label commemorates the 25th vintage of the Rose of Virginia. I’d recommend this if you’re not too sure about rose. This is light, dry and fruity, but not over compensated by overripe fruits. Good balance with acidity. Well done Charles Melton.
